Long-distance move from Oxnard, CA to Medford, OR

Extremely Disorganized, Overpriced, and Poorly Managed - Beware

Bravo Moving showed up several hours late on Thursday afternoon, June 5th without the proper supplies. They had to leave again to buy materials before they could even begin packing. Working hours late into the night in total darkness, they packed and filled a 26-foot truck nearly to the back door - almost completely full. We were told to expect a call the next day, Friday, to confirm our requested Saturday delivery.

By Friday noon we had heard nothing. No calls. No updates. No response to two emails. We called multiple times while driving to our new home 700 miles away, no one knew anything.

On Saturday, after more unanswered calls, a manager finally contacted us around 1:30 PM. That’s when we learned our belongings had been taken to a warehouse and unloaded into four large bins labeled with our name - and that we might get delivery on Monday.

We ultimately received a partial delivery on Tuesday – three days late and missing roughly 20 items, including a split king mattress set (could not even sleep on our bed!), massage chair, dining chairs, end tables, the top shelf of our TV stand, a medicine cabinet, an office chair, a large tool chest, and several boxes. When we called to report this, they were disturbingly indifferent. “There’s no one at the warehouse!” they said and promised someone would call us.

We insisted someone go there immediately. Eventually, they sent photos showing the rest of our items still sitting in the warehouse - clearly marked “Bin 3 of 4” under our name. For reasons never explained, they unloaded our fully loaded truck, split it into four large bins, and then a couple days later reloaded only three of the bins into another 26-foot truck for delivery - despite our clear request that our items not be mixed with others’, especially after seeing how poorly they inventoried everything during pickup.

To make matters worse, Bravo charged us more than double our original quote after they filled the truck. On delivery, they even left us with items that belonged to other customers. Despite notifying Bravo that we had other people's property; the second delivery driver was completely unaware he needed to pick it up. Several of our items have damage – broken task chair, dented and scratched wood on our bedroom suit, a tear in the office chair back, dented credenza…

It took several more emails and phone calls over the next 10 days, along with multiple broken promises of delivery before we finally received the remaining items. The complete lack of accountability, urgency, and follow-through throughout this entire process was inexcusable.

This was an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience from start to finish. Bravo Moving failed in communication, professionalism, accuracy, and pricing. I cannot recommend them, in fact, I strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Bravo Moving Co is Careless

This company’s moving truck destroyed several newly repaired power lines and snapped a transformer pole in my neighborhood so we are out of power until who knows when. Bravo moving company was worse for our neighborhood than hurricane Beryl. Their truck was obviously too big for this tiny residential street, and tried to go down it anyway. Bravo needs to train this driver better, because this was an avoidable mistake. That line had JUST been replaced and repaired before they snapped it in half, BECAUSE of the storm. Unless Bravo Moving Co. has photo evidence that the line was too low, they need to stop pushing that narrative. This narrow residential street was never going to accommodate your moving company’s giant 18 wheeler, stop blaming the line. This was either poor planning and preparation by Bravo Moving company or terrible judgment by their driver. And, if their excuse is that the line was too low, it is still the driver’s fault. They should have assessed the viability of the street for such a big truck, “low” power lines and all, BEFORE they drove down the street, not just assume the truck could fit because “the line is SUPPOSED to be higher than 14 ft”. You all need to check that out in ADVANCE of the truck’s arrival. A responsible company would’ve checked those lines BEFOREHAND. I understand accidents happen but losing power in Houston, TX in the middle of the summer can be lethal, with the triple digit temperatures. People have literally died this month because they are without air conditioning or access to the medical machinery they need. My neighbors are elderly and were put in a dangerous position because of Bravo Moving Company’s seemingly negligent mistake, and Bravo Moving Co is being very casual about a very serious and expensive issue that they caused.

We used Bravo Moving to help my mother in law

We used Bravo Moving to help my mother in law and they were truly wonderful. Unfortunately, her new condo only had one working elevator for the whole building which it made a little more difficult especially with a bigger china cabinet she had. When I tell you these men literally put the piece on their backs and brought it up the stairs. They were amazing!

BE AWARE!

Bravo Moving is a bait and switch operation. They will give you a low bid and even give you a binding not to exceed estimate. They will load their truck with your household goods and then tell you that you have more items then what was on their estimate and they will increase their price. They doubled their price on my move and gave me a new estimate and said if you want your household goods you will have to pay or your items will go into our storage until you pay in full.

After paying over twice the estimated price they finally started unloading my belongings and I have many pictures of the unprofessional loading of the moving van and all the damage that was caused. We checked off all the items as they came off the truck and over 50 items were missing. The driver, who did not speak english, refused to see if any of the missing items could be found.

I sent Bravo Moving and invoice for the overcharges and they refused to acknowledge their scam and did not respond to the loss/damage claim. I filed a complaint with the FMCSA, which is snail slow, with the Better Business Bureau, which they rejected because Bravo Moving is accredited, which means if you pay them they will protect you from any complaints. The bottom line is that no one will help you get your money back except by filing a lawsuit which will probably cost you around $25,000 retainer fee. Most people will not hire an attorney because of the cost. Also you will have to get an attorney in California to file a lawsuit because Bravo Moving is a very small company and have no agents outside California so you have to file in California. I have research these rip off companies and many people have lost their belongings to these scams. DO NOT USE BRAVO MOVING!!!!!

Long-distance move from San Mateo, CA to Las Vegas, NV

Do Not Hire This Company!

I hired Bravo Moving based on good reviews. What a nightmare. Once your stuff leaves you, you have no control or protection over it. I lost so many items (not delivered) and all my furniture came damaged. My financial loss is over $2,000. See how they wrapped (or didn't wrap) my furniture. It is very painful to write about this because I have to relive my nightmare. But I decided to do it for other people.

I was in Korea due to a family emergency when signing the contract. I had a call with the salesman John. I told him that I didn’t have a sofa, TV, office desk & chair, and bookcase but I have one king-size mattress, stationary bike, dining set, and 5 drawer dresser that I consider big. He didn’t ask further and sent me an email with an estimate of 300 cu.ft. I originally had planned moving by myself, so I already had an idea about the size. I asked him to change it to 450 to be safe. Also, he emailed me that for my distance (from SF to Vegas) it is usually 1-4 days. He put "immediate delivery" in the contract. But I wasn’t aware of different options in “insurance” and John never told me about options of insurance and its implications.

On the pickup day (end of July 2024), Daniel told me in a very threatening, rude tone that I didn't report all my stuff and now it is going to be 300 cu.ft more ($1,500 more). He said I have so many boxes. I’m small (5’2”) so I like using banker boxes, which are about ¼ of regular medium boxes in volume. I didn’t agree to it being 300 cu.ft more, but told him that I don't need the dresser and a bike which I believe could save 100 cu.ft. He said then he won't bring my mattress either because without the bike, he can’t support the mattress. What kind of nonsense is this? So if there is a household with no bike, they can't move multiple mattresses? Or, this means he knew I didn't have enough furniture to use as a support.

I had to move out that day so I signed the new contract. During loading, Daniel told me not to be around the truck so I couldn’t check if things were checked in properly. After loading he gave me the inventory to sign. It was poorly prepared, I couldn't even read his handwriting and no proper detail at all. Before they left, I looked inside the biggest U-Haul truck with 1,682 cu.ft. There were vertical lines inside the truck to measure the volume. Each line would mean about 100 cu.ft. My stuff stacked up around line 3 from the back. So my stuff was not even 400 in total but they charged me for 750 cu.ft ($1,500 more)! I should have taken a photo of the loaded truck then.

Daniel acknowledged but deleted "immediate delivery” in the new contract. He said he would have the office call me that evening about the schedule. No call that day or the next day. I reached out to John and Daniel, no responses. I called the office, Dina picked up and said she would give me a call after checking. Still no call the next day. I called three more times... and she finally picked up and said it won’t be delivered for another week. Apparently, my stuff moved from warehouse to warehouse until it arrived in 10 days, from SF to Vegas.

After the delivery crew left, I realized many things were missing. The first thing I found missing was a 3-step ladder from Home Depot. I called the delivery guy, and he came back saying his boss found my ladder in the warehouse and will call me. He never called me. I continuously found new missing items as I unpack - mattress topper, birch hamper, a floor lamp, etc. Almost all furniture had damage (chips or scratches). Many boxes came disfigured and damaged. Things got bursted inside the box, dishes & glasses were cracked.

They offered $72.96 for compensation. Just for the lost and damaged items, my replacement cost is above $1,000. But because I didn’t identify the missing items during delivery, it is considered all delivered. And because I didn’t sign up for more expensive insurance, they will cover $0.60 cents per pound per article. And they would put 0 lb for any heavy stuff like the dining table. What a horror experience.

Do Not Hire

Do not hire these people. Read the bad reviews and check out better business bureau.

https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/los-angeles/profile/international-movers/bravo-moving-1216-1528882/complaints

Check out my photos if you want to see how your items will arrive (note: we paid for them to pack and wrap our goods). Multiple boxes just thrown in the truck. Many things (wine, power drill etc) were either stolen or misplaced. We got given someone else's ski gear (worth around $1k). To top it off they deliver my children,s bunks beds and put them together missing many screws (which they had lost) and left a large buffet on it's side (for us to move) after deeply scratching the wooden floor. They hired two people to help them with bringing things in from the truck, but these two new guys were great and kept shaking their heads watching the 2 bravo people bring things in so carelessly. I so wish I had done this first..

Further, they refer your complaint to their insurer (which actually is a bogus non-insurer) .

If you complain, prepare to have Ali threaten / intimidate you over the phone.

It would be better for you to throw your items in the trash than use this company. So many red flags, I guess it was my fault for not doing enough diligence.

Do not hire, worst moving experience

Please do not hire. I didn’t listen to the negative reviews and Ali the “manager” said all the right things. However they failed to show up on the day. Numerous calls and even the coordinator didn’t know why no one called me back. I finally heard back late in the evening. My apt building had no outdoor lights. We agreed on the next day and he knew I had to miss my flight. He said he’d talk to the owners about reimbursing me. I was never given the federally approved moving handbook and my paperwork was barely filled out. It also showed another company name at the top. Salam Trading. I asked what this was and the mover said it’s paperwork we have leftover on the truck. The movers said it would be on its way across the country in a week. But I did know to allow up to 21 days. I paid for boxes and extra wrapping so they could wrap glass and antique items. Ali had me email him my cancelled flight and info for reimbursement. When I asked about it I had a written response that I had to wait until my stuff arrived in case of any damages. Movers took until the 21st day to show up. They were in a larger truck but took my items from under the truck not inside the truck. They wouldn’t allow me to look at my items until I sent a payment, of course it was venmo. Almost everything was broken. Apparently the guy he hired to bring my stuff drove to NY and Vermont for the holidays. Unloaded my stuff to make room for an Amazon order pickup and put my stuff under the truck. I didn’t pay a moving company to pick up amazons orders. I called Ali and emailed him right away. Again he said all the right things said insurance would cover most and he’d talk to the owners. Months went by until the insurance company offered $131 when my damages were well over 3k. He said he never does this but the owner offered an additional 2-3 hundred. That it’s my fault stuff broke. I said that is not enough and I have moved 7 times in six years, never had one thing break. Most of the items that broke they wrapped. I asked again to please let me speak to the owner. He said I couldn’t. Now I know why. Upon public records Ali K is the OWNER. He created a doing business as for Salam Trading and has Bravo Moving under that name. Numerous reviews online said similar things, broken items and that Ali swore he wasn’t a broker but Salam showed up when they hired bravo movers. Another post a customer said he paid him out a few hundred after a price of furniture was broken. He wouldn’t use him again but it helped more than insurance. Ali K has lied the whole time and when I emailed him with this info about him being the owner he never responded.
